The Picasso in perfumery

She’s Sophia Grojsman, and she’s the creator of scents for the likes of Calvin Klein, Estée Lauder, Lalique, Lancôme and Yves Saint Laurent. Think Trésor. On the accompanying video, Grojsman says, ‘You cannot be the creator for smells without having a nose – it’s a given gift by God’. She also says that the optimal spot for perfume is the back of the knees. I haven’t been so surprised since learning that Jonah Lomu used to take time off from rugby to produce luxury fragrances.
