I first got to know the song in a version by Hugh Masekela. This one by Dorothy Masuka, who wrote it, is wonderful.
You can also find it on YouTube as done by Masekela, but the must-have version is the one on his album Live at the Market Theatre (a great album quite apart from that). It has lifted my spirits and would lift anybody’s. There’s a Bulawayo–Manchester connection here but that’s altogether incidental.
